Ingredients

Scale
  • lbs salmon, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup honey (or pure maple syrup)
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds, toasted
  • 2 tsp chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels. In a bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss the salmon with the seasoning and 1 tablespoon of olive oil until evenly coated.
  2. Heat the remaining oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon in batches for about 4–5 minutes until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic and grated ginger for about 1 minute. Stir in soy sauce, vinegar, and honey (or maple syrup), letting it simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Return the salmon to the skillet and gently toss to coat in the sauce. Serve topped with toasted sesame seeds and chopped chives.
