Ingredients
  

Beef and Marinade
  • 1 pound ground beef preferably lean
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
Vegetables and Toppings
  • 2 cups cooked rice white or brown
  • 1 cup carrots julienned
  • 1 cup green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
Cook the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat and stir in the marinade. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined.
Assemble the Bowls
  1. Divide the cooked rice among four bowls.
  2. Top each bowl with the cooked beef, julienned carrots, and sliced green onions.
  3. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
