Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the cheese, apple, and bacon.
- In a separate bowl, mix the egg and milk, then add to the dry ingredients.
- Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the dough.
Shape and Cook
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat into a 1-inch thick circle.
- Cut into wedges and place them in the air fryer basket.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the scones in the air fryer for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
