Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk or cream
Add-ins
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup apple peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon crumbled

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in the cheese, apple, and bacon.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the egg and milk, then add to the dry ingredients.
  5. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the dough.
Shape and Cook
  1. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat into a 1-inch thick circle.
  2. Cut into wedges and place them in the air fryer basket.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Cook the scones in the air fryer for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving.
