Ingredients
  

Meat and Beans
  • 1 lb Ground beef or turkey
  • 1 can Kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes with juice
Vegetables
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 1 medium Bell pepper chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
Spices
  • 2 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Black pepper to taste
Liquid
  • 1 cup Beef broth or water

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Chop the onion and bell pepper, and mince the garlic.
  2. Drain and rinse the kidney and black beans.
Cook the Meat
  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Add Vegetables and Spices
  1. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Add the kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, and beef broth to the pot.
  2. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
Simmer the Chili
  1. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Serve
  1. Ladle the chili into bowls and serve hot. Enjoy with your favorite toppings!
