Ingredients
  

Chocolate Layer
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips
Caramel Layer
  • 1 cup caramel candies unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
Apple Topping
  • 1 medium apple diced, preferably Granny Smith
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice to prevent browning
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts such as pecans or walnuts
  • 1/4 cup sea salt for sprinkling

Method
 

Prepare the Baking Sheet
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Melt the Chocolate
  1. In a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips until smooth.
Spread the Chocolate
  1. Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula.
Prepare the Caramel
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the caramel candies and heavy cream over low heat, stirring until melted and smooth.
Add Caramel and Apples
  1. Drizzle the melted caramel over the chocolate layer and sprinkle the diced apple evenly on top.
Add Toppings
  1. Sprinkle the chopped nuts and sea salt over the caramel and apple layer.
Chill and Set
  1. Refrigerate the bark for at least 2 hours or until fully set. Once set, break into pieces and serve.
