Prepare Chicken
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place each chicken breast between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound to 1/2 inch thickness using a meat mallet.
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast, then roll them up tightly and secure with toothpicks.
- Dredge each chicken roll in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
Cook Chicken
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken rolls and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Transfer the chicken rolls to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
Make Swiss Cheese Sauce
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Add shredded Swiss cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
Serve
- Remove toothpicks from the chicken rolls and slice them in half. Serve with Swiss cheese sauce drizzled over the top.
