Ingredients

Apple Fries
  • 3 medium apples peeled, cored, and cut into fry shapes
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour for coating
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for flavor
  • 1 teaspoon sugar optional, for sweetness
  • 1 large egg beaten, for binding
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice to prevent browning
Dipping Sauce
  • 1 cup caramel sauce for dipping
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt optional, for a healthier option

Method

Prepare the Apples
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
Coat the Apple Fries
  1. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with cinnamon and sugar.
  2. Dip each apple slice first in flour, then in egg, and finally coat with the panko mixture.
Air Fry the Apple Fries
  1. Place the coated apple fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  2. Air fry for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Serve
  1. Remove the apple fries from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
  2. Serve warm with caramel sauce and/or vanilla yogurt for dipping.
