Method
Prepare the Apples
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
Coat the Apple Fries
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with cinnamon and sugar.
- Dip each apple slice first in flour, then in egg, and finally coat with the panko mixture.
Air Fry the Apple Fries
- Place the coated apple fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded.
- Air fry for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Serve
- Remove the apple fries from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm with caramel sauce and/or vanilla yogurt for dipping.
