Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugars
  1. In another bowl, using an electric mixer, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs and Vanilla
  1. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in Chocolate Chips
  1. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Scoop and Bake
  1. Using a cookie scoop, place large mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 3 inches apart. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
