Prepare the Ingredients
- Chop the onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Trim and cut the green beans.

- Add the chopped onion, garlic, carrots, and celery to the pot. Cook for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are softened.
Combine Ingredients
- Pour in the chicken broth and water. Add the green beans, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
Simmer the Soup
- Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
Serve
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot.
