No Yeast French Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • ¼ cup Olive Oil

Method
 

  1. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda in a large bowl.
  2. Stir in the water, olive oil, and lemon juice until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Set the dough on a lightly-floured surface and knead until smooth for about 5 minutes.
  4. Shape the dough as desired and score the top with a lightly-floured knife.
  5. Set the dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 30–40 minutes at 400F.
