Method
Prepare the Oven and Dish
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish.
Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Combine Wet Ingredients
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
Combine Mixtures
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Add Fruits
- Fold in the chopped apples and raisins (if using).
Bake
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with walnuts and brown sugar on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
Serve
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!
