Method
Cook the Chicken
- In a large pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the pot and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
- In the same pot, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the chicken broth and Italian seasoning, bringing it to a simmer.
Cook the Tortellini
- Add the tortellini to the pot and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes until tender.
- Return the cooked chicken to the pot and stir to combine.
Serve
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and grated parmesan cheese before serving.
