Ingredients
  

Beef and Broth
  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast cut into chunks
  • 1 cup beef broth low sodium
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce optional
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
Vegetables
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 carrots carrots sliced
  • 2 stalks celery sliced
Noodles
  • 8 ounces egg noodles uncooked

Method
 

Prepare the Beef
  1. Place the beef chunks in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the beef broth, water, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
Add Vegetables
  1. Add the chopped onion, sliced carrots, and sliced celery to the slow cooker.
Cook the Dish
  1. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
Add Noodles
  1. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the egg noodles.
  2. Cover and cook until the noodles are tender.
Serve
  1. Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, you can mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with water and stir it in during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
