Ingredients
  

Chicken and Noodles
  • 1 pound boneless chicken thighs cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 ounces egg noodles or any preferred noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking
Sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons honey for sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar for acidity
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil for flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for heat
Garnish
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Cook the Noodles
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Drizzle a little oil over the noodles to prevent sticking.
Prepare the Chicken
  1. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  2. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Combine Everything
  1. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and add the drained noodles. Toss everything together until well coated in the sauce.
  2. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
Serve
  1. Serve the sticky garlic chicken noodles hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
