Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk room temperature
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
Flavorings
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons dried Italian herbs such as oregano, basil, and thyme

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, beaten egg, and olive oil.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. Fold in the mozzarella, Parmesan, and Italian herbs until evenly distributed.
Shape and Bake
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute.
  3. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Cover the loaf with a kitchen towel and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Cool and Serve
  1. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
  2. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
